그래픽 드라이버 설치에 문제가 생겼네요. 도와주세요.

lspci | grep -i vga

라는 명령어를 사용하여 나온 출력은 다음과 같습니다.

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G96 [GeForce 9500 GT] (reva1)

NVIDIA 홈페이지에 가서 다운로드 한 그래픽 드라이버는 다음 순서를 따라가면서 다운로드 하였습니다.

1. 드라이버

2. 모든 드라이버

3. 제품유형 : GeForce

4. 제품 시리즈: GeForce 9 Series

5. 제품계열 : GeForce 9500 GT

6. 운영체제 : Linux 32-bit

7. 언어 : Korean

8. 최신 : 추천/인증

이런 과정을 거쳐서 다운로드 받은 파일은 다음과 같습니다.

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-295.53.run

파일을 다운로드 한 후 제가 했던 과정은 다음과 같습니다.

$ su

관리자로 변경

# init 3

텍스트 모드로 변경

$ 아이디 입력

$ 비밀번호 입력

# su

관리자로 변경

# cd ??? 

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-295.53.run파일이 있는 곳으로 이동

# sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-295.53.run

이런 과정을 거쳐서 진행하였을 때 다음과 같은 에러메시지들이 3번 연속으로 나오면서 진행이 멈추게 됩니다.

ERROR : The Nouveau kernel driver is currently in use by your system. This driver is incompatible with the NVIDIA driver, and must be disabled before proceeding. Please consult the NVIDIA driver README and your Linux distributions's documentation for details on how to correctly disable the Nouveau kernel driver.

ERROR : The modprobe configuration file to disalbe Nouveau, etcmodprobe.d/nvidia-installer-disable-nouveau.conf, is already present. Please be sure you have rebooted your system since that file was written. If you have rebooted, then Nouveau may be enabled for other reasons, such as being included in the system initial ramdisk or in your X configuration file. Please consult the NVIDIA driver README and your Linux distribution's documentation for details on how to correctly disable the Nouveau kernel driver.

예전에 제가 경험했던 문제네요.

몇달 전 일이라 정확히 기억나지는 않는데.. 

마지막 에러에 나온... nvidia-installer.log 파일에 나온 내용 확인하고, 시키는 대로 했더니 성공했었습니다.

nvidia-installer.log 파일을 확인했을 때, 아래와 같이 Nouveau kernel driver를 disable하라는 얘기가 나오는데요.

kernel을 disable하라는건 어떤건지, 그리고 하는 방법은 어떻게 하는지 좀 알려주실 수 있으신가요?
